Onsys Technologies, an Australian IT consultancy, is looking for motivated interns based in Sri Lanka to join our remote technical team. Learn from experienced engineers and build practical skills through structured training and supervised technical work.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor database availability, system health, performance and technical alerts.
- Assist with database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and maintenance.
- Support backup and recovery checks, security reviews and performance troubleshooting.
- Assist with Windows and Linux server administration and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop SQL queries and automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
- Record incidents, maintain technical documentation and provide timely task updates.
- Respond to assigned support requests and escalate issues to senior engineers.
- Participate in rostered shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, to support 24/7 client operations.
- Participate in an on-call roster, including weekends, once appropriately trained and authorised.
- During assigned on-call periods, remain contactable, acknowledge alerts promptly and assist with incident response under senior engineer supervision.
- Provide clear shift handovers and follow established escalation procedures.
- Attend training, complete practical assignments and prepare for agreed technical certifications.

- Willingness and availability to participate in agreed shift, weekend and on-call rosters.
